About Whitford House


 

Located on a peaceful, country road overlooking the Adirondack Mountains, surrounded by the rich farmland of Central Vermont, Whitford House welcomes you. This peaceful retreat includes a restored 18th-century, New England farmhouse, contemporary guest house and seasonal barn. It is conveniently located between Lake Champlain, Vergennes and Middlebury, home to Middlebury College.

Grand views of meadows and mountains, from the home's many windows, offer breathtaking beauty throughout the seasons. Comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated, and sunny porches and patios are sure to make one's stay a restful, romantic Vermont getaway to remember. Wholesome Continental breakfast is included, featuring many local and organic options, such as Vermont Coffee Company, Stonyfield and Green Mountain Creamery, The Manghi's and Klinger's Bakery, Irish Hill Maple Products, Cabot Creamery, Monument Dairy Farm, steel-cut oatmeal, granola and fresh fruit, grown on property (in season).
